Aurelia Metals Limited (AMI) is an exploration and mineral development company based in Orange NSW.
The Company’s focus is the development and ongoing exploration of the Hera-Nymagee Project, which includes the high grade gold and base metal Hera deposit and the emerging high-grade copper discovery at the nearby Nymagee copper deposit.
The Hera-Nymagee Project is located about 100kms SE of Cobar in western NSW and the deposits represent typical “Cobar Style” ore systems, which have a strong historical precedent for large scale, high-grade, long life mining operations.
AMI (then YTC Resources) completed the Hera Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) in September 2011 and is progressing development and feasibility programmes with a view to incorporating the Hera and Nymagee copper ore into a combined operation producing gold, copper, silver, lead and zinc. In the near term, the Hera deposit represents a high margin, mining and processing operation producing gold and silver bars and a bulk lead-zinc concentrate for sale.
Nymagee is emerging as one of the most exciting copper discoveries in Australia in recent times, and holds strong analogies to the world-class CSA copper system, located 90km along strike. CSA, like other Cobar Basin mineral systems has extensive depth persistence and extends to >2km depth. The Nymagee system remains open at depth, with most recent results discovering two new copper lenses.
AMI is also active in exploration for copper, gold and tin on a number of tenements in the Lachlan Fold Belt of NSW.
